The Big Sleep opened its doors in Cardiff in 1999 to a deluge of publicity, managed by Compass Hospitality. The Big Sleep was credited as "The UK's first design hotel for budget travellers - Travelodge prices, but with more sex-appeal" by the UK's foremost hospitality publication The Travel Trade Gazette. Sites in Cheltenham and Eastbourne soon followed.
The hotels are ideally located for business, leisure and pleasure. Both Cardiff and Cheltenham occupy city centre locations with on-site car parking and Eastbourne overlooks the English Channel and Western lawns. Across the group all bedrooms have flat screen TV's, broadband access, Wi-Fi, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities and include continental breakfast. A range of disabled access bedrooms are available. For more information on each specific hotel please click on the location at above.
The Big Sleep unique brand and ethos has been much imitated throughout the UK and abroad since the opening of the Cardiff hotel. Aimed at those who don't want to spend a fortune but do need a place to stay and big value at small prices, the Big Sleep is the thinking man's choice.
